Botanical gardens you can find on the island

There are three big gardens in Tenerife, which cover almost all the species.

Puerto de la Cruz botanical garden

Puerto de la Cruz Botanical Garden
Also known as La Orotava Acclimatization Garden, it’s a very popular orchard located in Puerto de la Cruz. It was created based on the need that the island had in 1788 of cultivating species that used to come from the tropics.

Palmetum Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Palmetum Garden Tenerife

Botanical garden that is over 12 hectares, which specializes in palm trees. It offers incredible sights to the ocean, which is one of the main attractions that Palmetum has.

The garden counts on with a big waterfall, as well as a stream, lakes, a museum for palm trees and a good deal of other stuff. It’s also important to note that Palmetum gardens are organized in biogeographical sections to make the path much easier.
